XENPAK (10 Gigabit Transceiver) - this is the first universal 10GB module.
Xenpak modules are connected via 70-pin interface XAU, which uses four parallel channels of 3.125 Gbp/s.
In 2001, There were 2 transceivers XENPAK and X2.These two modules have the same electrical interface, but since XENPAK it was developed earlier  X2 has several other mechanical properties such as weight (heavier) and size (larger).
Using 10 Gigabit Ethernet module is recommended for projects that require high performance is not blocked by the decisions in the data center, the center of large-scale networks or for connecting nodes distribution level, with the critical requirements for bandwidth connections.
Agilent Technologies and Agere Systems defines a fiber-optic or copper transceiver module which conforms to the 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) standard as laid down by the IEEE 802.3ae.

Notes:
1. Possible to execute production on lead-free technology RoHS (Lead Free).
2. Maximum operating distance may vary in characteristics within small limits.
